About Catharine

Lucky Dog came to life in 2021, thanks to Catharine Garbo's love for dogs and her desire to create a positive and modern approach to dog training. With a master's degree in business from Bryant University and certified through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), Catharine is on a mission to make a difference in the lives of dogs and their owners.

Catharine's 5-year-old chocolate lab, Olive, inspired her to start this journey in the dog training world. She is fascinated by studying dog behavior and takes joy in solving training challenges, whether big or small. From assisting numerous clients with individual training issues to leading group classes for puppies to advanced training, Catharine has truly made a positive impact.

Catharine is excited to expand her business by opening Lucky Dog's first physical location. This new space will host small group classes, specialized conditioning training, and hydrotherapy sessions, all aimed at promoting the well-being of our beloved furry friends.

When Catharine isn't helping clients and their dogs, you'll find her and Olive exploring the outdoors, whether it's hiking, walking along the beach, or simply enjoying the wonderful bond they share.

About Olive

Meet Olive, the spirited 5-year-old chocolate lab who keeps her mom on her toes and her heart full! This energetic pup loves indulging in endless treats, but swimming is her favorite activity—she could splash around all day! Long hikes are another passion of hers, especially when they lead to breathtaking views with her favorite humans.

Among her biggest fans are her grandparents, the ultimate treat dispensers, and a loving circle of family and friends who always remember to bring cookies! Whether she’s frolicking with her pals or embarking on new adventures, Olive is always ready to dive into whatever fun comes her way.

Her latest adventure was an unforgettable road trip to Colorado to visit her favorite uncle, where she enjoyed hiking and swimming in the mountains. When she's not exploring, you can find her pleading for more bones or snuggled up on her favorite couch, dreaming of her next big outing.

Olive has been a fantastic mascot for Lucky Dog, and takes great pride in sharing a name that celebrates her own lucky charm of a life. There’s no doubt about it—Olive truly is one lucky pup!
